We want YOU for A-1 Senior Adults! If you are age 50 or older, we invite you to join us for our A-1 Senior Adult Meetings the second Tuesday of the month. We meet in the Fellowship Hall for covered dish lunch or go out for special events. Just to name a few things, in January we meet at a local restaurant for lunch, February is our Valentine’s Day Party in the Fellowship Hall, and in June we have a cook-out. We do not meet the months of July and August. As stated . . . We Want You!!
Student Ministry
The Lakeview Student Ministry has one mission: to bring glory to God. To accomplish this mission, we strive to lead 6th-12th grade students and their families to know Christ and grow in their relationship with Christ. Through gospel-centered teaching, gospel-centered community, and gospel-centered events, we want to make disciples who make disciples. We meet on Sunday mornings at 8:45 am for Life Groups. We meet Wednesday nights at 6 pm for Mid-Week Worship. This allows us a spiritual recharge with a Biblical message to help us finish the week out strong.
Children's and Preschool
The LBC Children’s Ministry serves the future of the church, the children. We love to teach and encourage each child and their family. We want to show them the love of Christ through the study of God’s Word, music, and other activities. To plant the seeds of faith in Jesus so that one day that child will accept Jesus as their own Lord and Savior and surrender their life to Him. On Sunday we have Bible study classes and Children’s Church. On Wednesday we have Children in Action where we study about missions.
Women's Missionary Union (WMU)
Our mission as Women on Mission is to inform and inspire Christians to influence their world for Christ. Through Bible Study, prayer devotionals, mission projects and outreach, each meeting offers opportunities and resources to be involved in missions in everyday lives. Our church has four groups that meet at various times throughout the week to accommodate a variety of schedules. Mission Action Projects include: Backpack Ministry, Operation Christmas Child, Second Chance, Local Schools, Christmas in August, and Community Soup Kitchen.
Brotherhood
Brotherhood is a ministry opened up to all men in the local church. The challenge of Jesus as laid out in Acts 1:8 is what drives us towards our missions-centered services. This lifestyle is accomplished through an emphasis on missions. Lakeview Brotherhood has served in the past in many ways. Through acts of service, though physically and mentally exhausting, we come into contact with people whose needs are met and we are able to share the Gospel with them. If you want to know more, get involved, and be in the company of other Christian men, we meet monthly on Sunday Mornings at 7 A.M. for breakfast.
Child Development Center (CDC)
Our objectives for the Lakeview Baptist Child Development Center include helping children grow within the spiritual, physical, cognitive, emotional, and social areas of their lives. We reach these objectives by using a wide variety of daily activities and curriculum. Lakeview Baptist Child Development Center is a state licensed through the Alabama Department of Human Resources and adheres to their guidelines and recommendations.
